#11 You can have Watergate

Haven’t won any cleaning supplies yet.

James Brown was a noted conservative with lots of issues – this song is about excusing the Watergate break ins. I wonder if we’ll have a national conversation about that like we are having now about R. Kelly and Michael Jackson. If you read any biographies about JB or saw Get On Up you’re already familiar.  Genius’ For The Record ran a great panel on dealing with those thorny issues. How do you understand someone’s immense influence on music and square it with their heinous actions?

#8 Hot Potato

New technology means new things falling out of our pockets all the time.

I only ever heard this quicker version of Hot Potato at jams. I’m sure there’s some history there.

#7 Move it

This comic is, as the rest all are, inspired by real life events. At a FloorGangz jam in the old SF City Dance studio, Prime Minister matched up against Fat Coyote. Beautiful then, beautiful now. Wonderful names. Well done, sirs!

You can have any name you want as a dancer. Go off with it.
